1) BCinfoNET, BCIN Provincial Directory shall be referred to “BCinfoNET Directories” or “BCIN“. 2) Internet addresses, web sites /pages, server space, email addresses or domains are not supplied by BCinfoNET Directories. 3) The following will apply to Listings only (points 4 to 38 ): 4) Business name only {or equivalent} within Listing, abbreviations or elimination may apply. 5) Listing maximum length is restricted & offered in our standard color. 6) You must have a current and existing web site to qualify for a Listing. 7) BCinfoNET Directories is not responsible for any errors or broken links. 8) Maximum of one link per business in one single category, unless additional fees are paid for multiple Listings. 9) Discounts may apply for multiple listings. 10) In cases where a single site has multiple domains, only one will be used. 11) True domains (www.yourbusiness.com) are Listed if approved. 12) Domains with extensions are listed if the path is reasonable or indicates stability. 13) Point 12 does not apply if a true domain is currently listed. 14) A standard fee $18.95 is charged “once” to the registered owner or applicant of the site and is an “Registered Listing“. 15) This above fee covers, administration, correspondence, creatives, uploading, space, maintenance & business operation costs. 16) The $18.95 is in Canadian Funds and is subject to the G.S.T. tax. 17) The one time fee of $18.95 allows the site to be displayed on BCIN for a period of one year. 18) After a period of one year, you have the option to renew. 19) Rates are subject to change. 20) In any such case of a Business name change or domain address change, one free update per year is permitted . 21) Additional fees may be applied if both updates as in 14 above have been previously implemented. 22) Discounts may apply if a visual or text reciprocal link back to BCinfoNET is listed within the main body of Listed site. 23) Listings appear on the system upon approval, and usually within 2 business days of receipt of payment. 24) Please note that approval of site is required, by our staff even with approved payment. . 25) Original registrants are responsible to submit and update information to BCinfoNET Directories. 26) This includes updated paths or domain locations or any such name changes, see also point 20. 27) Listings appear alphabetically by category; categories, sub categories are created and arranged by BCinfoNET Directories. 28) Listings are placed into a category that is most relevant to the type of service provided. 29) To provide ease of use to the user, Listing categories and sub categories are subject to change according to content. 30) Upon cyclical revisions new & existing entries will be contacted regarding point 16 or when accounts expires. 31) Some exceptions may apply in 16 in special circumstances, however all other regulations apply. 32) BCIN has the right to contain, distribute and display content information such as Listings unless a release is written. 33) Listing location is determined by actual postal area. 34) ALL Hyperlinks, Web sites, Listings are subject to approval. A) A refund will be provided if site is not approved. B) Refunds will not be issued if at any time, the link fails to meet requirements in 37 or is found to contain items in 38. 35) Broken Listings will be removed from the directory. 36) A ninety day period is allocated for renewals of inactive listings, otherwise a re-listing fee applies. 37) General guidelines for a Listing to be approved by BCinfoNET Directories are as follows – Sites must be: A) current, operational and up to date B) commercial or business C) providing a legitimate product or service D) Businesses that operate within the province of British Columbia are eligible for BCinfoNET Directories. E) Businesses that are located in other provinces or internationally are eligible if they have locations within British Columbia. 38) BCinfoNET Directories will NOT approve any submitted or Remove existing Listings if the site is found to be: A) non existent, non-operational, under construction, or out of date B) misleading or differs from business name or product / service provided C) a listing or generalized text/pictorial description from another directory or provider D) containing or contain links to nudity, pornography, sex or foul language E) promoting or condone illegal activity F) containing any content that may be extremely offensive to others, including racism, bigotry or hatred. G) threatening, defames or abuses others H) acting as copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property infringement. I) supporting pirating or associated utilities J) used for mail fraud schemes or sending unsolicited email (spamming) K) containing any links to such sites as mentioned in 38): {D-J} L) containing excessive extensions in the domain address M) redirected to a different site N) acts as a conflict of interest or is similar in function 39) The following will apply to Advertisements only (points 40 to 47 ): 40) Advertisements appear according to a first placement basis. 41) Advertisements are placed into a category that is relevant to the type of service provided. 42) To provide ease of use to the user, Advertisement categories and sub categories are subject to change according to content. 43) Advertisements appear on the system upon receipt of payment; usually within seven business days or less. 44) An existing web page is not required to purchase an Advertisement. 45) Advertisements may have web addresses with extensions (www.yourbusiness.com/extension/two/example) 46) From an Advertisement, clients have the option of linking to their current web site or email or when one is acquired. 47) A restriction of one hyperlink and one email apply to all Advertisements. 48) Use of images (BCIN or BCinfoNET) including text descriptions must comply with BCinfoNET policy on use and display. 49) Exchange agreements are valid for contract period, any misuse may lead to penalties subject by law. 50) If your site is listed in the BCinfoNET directory and wish to have it removed, please contact BCinfoNET Directories ( you must provide contact information for verification). 51) BCinfoNET Directories wishes to have an up to date directory, however some Links may have recently become inactive; this activity is beyond our control. We monitor our links occasionally to ensure that they are still active and conform to the regulations, but a broken link may appear from time to time. Please notify BCinfoNET Directories of any broken links or ones that have questionable content. 52) This entire site: contents, information, layout, arrangement, images, creatives, style, colors and visual concept are protected under copyright laws. Any such reproduction of any kind such as data, physical, electronic, or by other such means is prohibited. |
